Decorative Flat Panel Radiators Cover – Many older homes use flat panel radiators to heat the house. You may have updated the heating system at home and now have unsightly radiators that no longer use. Out of the house is an option, but the cast iron is very heavy. Not delete it, you can build a decorative radiator covers. These covers can double as an additional platform or place to put ornaments or potted plants, especially if the radiators sit in front of a sunny window. This is a good project for novice woodworkers.
Take some measurements of your flat panel radiators then measuring the height, width and depth of radiator and add 3 inches. Cut the moldings for frames for each side of the radiator cap. Cut two pieces of each length and two pieces for each height. Place the frame on each side of the work surface with the front of the moldings facing down. Align the beveled corners. Place a dab of glue between the two pieces. Use the table saw to cut the pieces of wood siding to fit the molding boxes.
